In this Spring issue, we highlight the 2026 Beef Industry Convention. The 28th annual event brought another large crowd to London in January. Our key partners discussed the strengths of the Ontario Corn Fed Beef program and their ongoing support for our main brand. We appreciated hearing from Loblaws, Cargill, Flanagan Foodservice, and the Canadian Alliance for Net-Zero Agri-food. Dr. Jessica Sperper from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln spoke about the risks and benefits of extending the feeding period, while Dr. Nevil Speer, an industry consultant from Bowling Green, Kentucky, shared his views on important beef market trends.
