Measuring to manage: The Ontario Cattle Feeders’ Association is proposing a financial benchmarking pilot project to benefit Ontario’s feedlot sector. We’re asking producers to participate in the project because the rewards from conducting an in-depth economic analysis will pay dividends when mitigating risk.
In these times of record cattle prices, mitigating risk is becoming paramount in the industry. To that end, the OCFA and the Beef Farmers of Ontario teamed up to host the “Ontario Feedlot Market Security Forum.” Several speakers weighed in on the markets and strategies to insulate against escalating risk.
On the beef marketing front, Ontario Corn Fed Beef is now on the menu of 23 Lone Star Texas Grill restaurants across the province. Our brand also held a successful kick-off event in Vietnam, one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing markets.
